OBJECTIVE OPERATIONS
VISIBLE FA OBSERVATION
Observation is usually performed with infrared light. For example, at the initial stage of fluores-
cein photography, if you want to take a picture of the patient's eye when the fluorescein begins
to flow into the artery of the fundus blood vessels, it is possible to perform the visible FA obser-
vation as movies on the color LCD monitor.
1 Make sure that the photography mode is set to "FA photography". Then, pull out the IR fil-
ter selector.
The VIS display lights up on the color LCD monitor.
The illumination level is automatically set to the highest level. The illumination level on
the color LCD monitor is automatically changed to the highest level and blinks.
2 After injecting the fluorescein, you can perform the visible FA observation on the color LCD
monitor.
In visible FA observation, you cannot use the internal fixation target. To guide the
patient's eye, use the external fixation target.
You can remove the split lines from the Monitor screen if they are not necessary.
Press the to remove the split lines from the Monitor screen.
Press the again to display the split lines on the Monitor screen.
In visible FA observation, the setting for the observation camera is changed properly for
this observation.
Because gain of the observation TV camera is higher, the blur of the image on the
screen is increased.
In visible FA observation, the auto focus function, auto shoot function and auto small
pupil selector function cannot be used.
CAUTION
To avoid pain and eye disease of the patient, do not perform the visi-
ble FA observation for a long time.
