Note: The traction pedal should contact the
traction-pedal stop before the pump reaches
full stroke.

2. If the traction pedal does not contact the
traction-pedal stop or if you want to reduce
the forward speed of the machine, perform the
following:
A. Hold the traction-pedal stop ( Figure 81 ) with
a wrench.
B. Loosen the jam nut at the bottom of the
footrest plate ( Figure 82 ).

C. Move the traction pedal to the full forward
position ( Figure 81 ).
D. While holding the traction-pedal stop, adjust
the jam nut that is above the footrest plate
( Figure 81 ) until the traction pedal makes
contact with the stop.
E. Lengthen the traction-pedal stop position
by rotating the stop 1 full rotation
counterclockwise away from the jam nut
above the footrest plate.
Note: Shortening the traction-pedal-stop
position will increase the forward speed of
the machine.
F . While holding the traction-pedal stop, torque
the jam nut at the bottom of the footrest
plate ( Figure 81 and Figure 82 ) to 37 to 45
N∙m (27 to 33 ft-lb).
G. Check that the traction pedal contacts
the traction-pedal stop before the pump
reaches full stroke.
Note: If the traction pedal does not contact
the traction-pedal stop, repeat steps A
through G .
