pumpoutputatfullenginespeedcandamagethehydraulictester.
11.Useaphototactomeasuretheenginespeed,movethethrottlesothatthe
enginespeedis2,800rpm(notfullspeed).Settheparkingbraketokeep
thewheelfromrotatingduringtest.

Therearwheelthatyouaretestingwilltrytomovethemachine
forward.
Useextremecautionwhenperformingthetest.
12.Sitintheoperatorseatandslowlypushthetractioncontrolleverforthe
motortobetestedintheforwarddirectionuntilthetesterpressuregauge
displays6,900kPa(1,000psi).
13.Thewheelmotorinternalleakageisshownonthetesterowmeterin
L/minute(gallons/minute).
14.ReturnthetractioncontrollevertotheNEUTRALposition.Shutofftheengine
andrecordthetestresults.Rotatethewheelandtestitagain.
Note:T estingthewheelmotorleakagein3differentwheelpositionswill
givethemostaccuratetestresults.
15.Theowshouldbelessthan5.7L/minute(1.5gallons/minute)forthetested
wheelmotor.Ifthespecicationisnotmet,repairorreplacethewheelmotor.
16.Releasepressurefromthehydraulicsystem;refertoReleasingPressure
fromtheHydraulicSystem(page4–11).
17.Disconnectthetesterfromthepumpoutletttingandhydraulichose,and
connectthehosetothepumptting.
18.Ifotherwheelmotorrequirestesting,completethesteps7to17forthe
othermotor.
19.Afteryoucompletethetest,removethejumperwirefromtheparkingbrake
harnessconnector.Connectthewireharnesstotheparkingbrakesensor;
refertotheParkingBrakeSensor(page5–33).Ensurethattheoperationof
theparkingbrakesensoriscorrectbeforereturningthemachinetoregular
operation.
