RemovingtheParkingBrakes(continued)
IMPORTANT
Ifyoumustremovethewheelhub,donothitthewheelhuborhub
pullerwithahammerwhileremoving.Hammeringcandamagethe
hydraulicwheelmotororwheelhub.
9.Ifnecessary,useawheel-hubpullertoloosenthewheelhubfromthewheel
motorshaft.
10.Removethelocknutthatisloosened,removethewheelhubfromthewheel
motor,andremovethewoodruffkeyfromtheshaft.
InstallingtheParkingBrakes
1.Ifthewheelhubwasremoved,dothefollowingsteps:
A.Ensurethatyoucleanthewheelhubandwheelmotorshaft.
B.Installthewoodruffkeyintotheslotonthewheelmotorshaftandslide
thewheelhubontotheshaft.
C.Installthewheelhubtothemotorshaftwiththelocknut.
2.Placethe2hardenedwashersonthebrakemountingscrews(Figure188
andFigure189).
IMPORTANT
Wheninstallingthebraketothebrakesupport,ensurethatyoudo
notgetLoctiteonthebrakepadsurface.
3.ApplytheLoctite#271(orequivalent)tothethreadsofthebrakemounting
screws.
4.Installtheparkingbraketothebrakesupportwiththe2locknuts;torquethe
locknutsto48to54N∙m(35to40ft-lb).
5.Assemblethebrakesupport(withtheparkingbrakeassemblyattached)to
thewheelhubdiscandframe.
Note:Ensurethatthediscisbetweenthe2stators(brakepads)inthe
brakeassembly.
6.Installthe4boltsand4angenutsinthemountingholesofthebrakesupport
andframe,butdonotfullytighten.
