Multi Pro 1200/1250 Page 9 -- 7 Sonic Boom System (Optional Kit)
Sprayer Operation on Level Turf
During sprayer operation with the sonic boom switch in
the automatic position (sonic boom light is illuminated),
the boom mounted sonic boom sensors continually
sendimpulsesignalsandthenreceiveechosasthesig-
nals bounce off the turf. The electronic control unit
(ECU) determines the sensor distance from the ground
based on the elapsed time between the sensor signal
generationandthereceivedecho.Aslongasthesensor
height remains the same as the calibrated height, the
sprayboomwillremainatafixedheightfromtheground
for spraying accuracy.
Onlevelturf,theboomsensorsc ontinuallysendsignals
and receive echoes thatdetermine that the booms sec-
tionsare atthecalibratedheight.Thus, thereis no need
to change boom height. The boom actuators will not be
energizedandthe boomsections remain at the correct,
level position.
