Digital Audio Devices
Supp orted
The
DAT-Link
is designed to supp ort any digital audio device which uses one of
the three standard digital audio interconnects: AES/EBU, SPDIF, or Fib er-optic
interconnect. If your DAT machine, CD player, MD, DCC, or other equipment
supports one of these standards, then it should work with the
DAT-Link
. Please
let us knowifyou encounter such a device which is not able to communicate with
the
DAT-Link
.
To use the remote control capabilities of the
DAT-Link
, the digital audio device must
have a handheld infrared remote control in addition to the digital audio interconnect.
If a remote description for the device was not included with the
DAT-Link
software,
you will need the handheld control to train the
DAT-Link
to control the device.
The following table lists some of the devices that are compatible with the
DAT-
Link
. This list is not complete, especially in the area of CD players, MD, DCC, and
dedicated digital processors. As stated ab ove, all devices with the proper digital
I/O's can be used with the
DAT-Link
.
A frequently updated listing of various DAT decks is available on the world-wide-
web at the location: http://www.atd.ucar.edu/rdp/dat-heads/MarketPosting and
also via Townshend Computer Tool's web page: http://www.tc.com/.
