10.1 Checking the Software and Hardware Revi-

In the event that you have diculty with the DAT-Link or require supp ort, you
should rst check the revision of the software and hardware that you have. This
can be done bytyping:
naversion
As with all NetAudio programs, the server must be running b efore using this pro-
gram as describ ed in Section 3.1. Tocheck the version of the DAT-Link connected
to a remote host, use:
naversion -u host:unit
where host is the remote host name, and unit , which is usually 0, sp ecies which
DAT-Link to query. Have a record of the information displayed available when you
call for support.
10.2 Monitoring NetAudio Server Status
The nastatus client program can be used to display the various parameters of
the NetAudio server as well as the current state of recording or playback. Other
NetAudio programs can be run while nastatus is active. Changes made to the
server parameters are reected immediately in the nastatus display while values
