2.6.4 DOS Software Installation
This section describes how to install the
DAT-Link
source software from diskettes
for use on a
DOS
personal computer. To extract software requires approximately 4
Mbytes of free space. The software can b e installed in the directory of your choice.
The following instructions assume that the sources will be placed in
C:
n
DATLINK
and the software will b e loaded from disk-drive
B:
, but any directory or disk-drive
may b e substituted.
MKDIR C:\DATLINK
CD C:\DATLINK
< Insert disk 1 into drive B:>
B:INSTALL
< Follow prompts for installation>
You should then modify your
AUTOEXEC.BAT
le to add
C:
n
DATLINK
n
BIN
to your
PATH
so that the executables can b e lo cated.
