NAME
naloaddsp load the DAT-Link with a custom DSP program
SYNOPSIS
naloaddsp [–u host:unit ] –q
]
D
naloaddsp [–u host:unit ][–c][–o outfile ][file
ESCRIPTION
naloaddsp can be used to set or query the current DSP32C program that the NetAudio server will use
-
g
for playback or recording. A program loaded using naloaddsp will remain in force until another pro
ram is loaded or the default program is restored by calling naloaddsp with no arguments. Note that
OPTIONS
this will affect all subsequent use of the DAT-Link.
–q Display the name of the currently loaded DSP32C program. The currently loaded DSP pro-
gram is not changed when this option is used..
c Specify that the input file is in COFF format. This option requires the AT&T development
s
software. The DAT-Link configuration scripts will install this option only if the AT&T
oftware was present during installation. When –c is not specified, the file to be loaded is
assumed to be in the ".pgm" format used by the NetAudio server.
t–u host:uni
Use the NetAudio server on host that is connected to the DAT-Link with unit-number unit.
,Otherwise, use the value of the environment variable. If it is not set either
AUDIO_DEVICE
–o outfile
then use unit 0 on the local host.
Writes the DSP32C program in ".pgm" format used by the NetAudio server for loading DSP
r
u
programs as needed. This option can be used to convert a COFF file into ".pgm" format fo
se on machines without the AT&T development software.
efile The name of the program file to be loaded. With the –c option, the file is assumed to be th
name of DSP32C COFF object file as created by AT&T’s DSP32C development software.
.
T
Otherwise, ".pgm" is appended to file and the resulting file is assumed to be in ".pgm" format
he program file is loaded from the current directory if such a filename exists. Otherwise, the
ENVIRONMENT
system program directory is searched.
AUDIO_DEVICE NetAudio server to use of the form host:nn , where host is the name of the host
t
s
where the server is running and nn is the unit number of the DAT-Link to use. If no
et, unit 0 on the local host is used is used.

BUGS
DAT-Link User’s Manual
Loading a program which is too large may cause the DAT-Link firmware to run out of memory which
0
b
results in a restart. This causes netaudiod to exit also. The limit is currently approximately 100,00
ytes of program material (including global symbol table, but not segments marked NOLOAD).
