Conguring the Device Drivers
Next, you need to create a device in the
/dev
directory called
datlink0
. If you
used SCSI ID 4 for the
DAT-Link
, you just need to link the standard tap e drive
device to
datlink0
:
ln -s /dev/nrst0 /dev/datlink0
chmod 666 /dev/datlink0
Note that you will need to b e logged in as
root
to execute the ab ove commands.
You can now pro ceed with the software installation in Section 2.6 b elow.

-Based Computers
The
DAT-Link
will work with most
UNIX
-based computers that have a SCSI bus.

supplier for
information on support and installation instructions.
