nastatus – display status of DAT-Link

nastatus [–u host:unit ][–t interval ][–x ]
DESCRIPTION
nastatus can be used to display the various parameters of the NetAudio server as well as the current
m
state of recording or playback. Other NetAudio programs can be run while nastatus is active. Changes
ade to the server parameters are reflected immediately in the nastatus display while value which

change rapidly, such as sample count, playback/record time, and VU levels are updated at a regula
nterval as given by the –t option.
The curses(3) package is used for screen updates. The screen must have at least 24 rows and 80

columns for proper display.
–t interval
This option allows the user to specify the update time, in seconds, for sample counts, buffering,

playback/record time, and VU levels. Other parameters are updated whenever they are
hanged. The default value is 1 second.
–x Display the exact values for the sample counters and VU levels as well as graphical displays.
–u host:unit
Use the NetAudio server on host that is connected to the DAT-Link with unit-number unit.

If the update interval is set too small, updates may actually occur even slower due to the increased

server load. Typically the minimum update interval is about 0.1 seconds.
