APPLY FLOWSENSOR
To apply the Flowsensor to the tubing, open the Flowsensors hinged lid, insert the lubricated tubing in the
sensing cavity, and close the lid. Fit should be tight, with the full tubing cross section contacting all inner
surfaces of the sensing window.
FLOWSOUND

A front-panel push button on the HT300 Series Flowmeter engages FlowSound
®
in critical applications to
provide instantaneous auditory feedback, which can be very benecial at times, such as on a carotid shunt.
Adjust FlowSound
®
volume on back of the Flowmeter.

C. After Measurements Are Completed
IMPORTANT! POWERING DOWN THE MONITOR BEFORE QUITTING FLOWTRACE
®
MAY CAUSE THE SYSTEM TO CRASH.
1) Close the FlowTrace software by pressing the blue button on the bottom right corner of the monitor.
2) Wait until the screen goes black, indicating it has successfully powered off (about8-10 seconds).
3) Turn the power off on the back of the pole.
4) Clean the AureFlo
®
System’s Flowprobes and Flowsensors as described below. Inspect cables and Probe
body routinely for damage. Store Flowprobes and Flowsensors at room temperature.
NOTE: If using a table top version without AureFlo
®
Cart, power down the Monitor per usual (steps 1 & 2
above) and then switch off Flowmeter power directly on the back of the Meter (see page 7).
D. Cleaning & Sterilization
1. AUREFLO
®
MONITOR
The exterior surfaces of the AureFlo
®
Monitor with touch-panel display can be cleaned with a damp
cloth. The touch-panel display can be cleaned with a cloth dampened with a 1% bleach solution. Do
not drop liquids onto the AureFlo
®
Monitor. Keep the AureFlo
®
Monitor in a dry environment and do
not operate in wet conditions.
2. HT300 SERIES COMPATIBLE FLOWMETER
After ow measurements are completed, the exterior surfaces of the Flowmeter can be cleaned
with a cloth or brush dampened with soapy water, followed by damp wiping with clear water. For
disinfection, the surface can be damp-wiped clean with 70% isopropyl alcohol or 10% bleach. Do not
drip liquids into the Meter cabinet. A Flowmeter exposed to accidental spillage should be unplugged
immediately from its power source and brought to the electronic service department for cleaning and
drying. Do not operate the Flowmeter in a wet condition; keep the Flowmeter in a dry environment.
3. AUREFLO
®
CART
After use, the exterior surface of the AureFlo
®
Cart can be cleaned with a cloth or brush dampened
with soapy water, followed by wiping with clean water. For disinfection, the surface can be damp
wiped clean with 70% isopropyl alcohol. Do not drip liquids into the column of the AureFlo
®
Cart
or the electrical box under the pedestal. An AureFlo
®
Cart exposed to accidental spillage should be
unplugged immediately from its power source and brought to the electronic service department for
