Appendix G: Service & Maintenance
In any instance of equipment malfunction, the User is asked to return the equipment to Transonic Systems
Inc.
®
or to its authorized agents for repair or recalibration.
CAUTION: SERVICE BY NON-AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL WILL VOID THE FACTORY WARRANTY
AND MAY VOID THE SAFETY RATING.
Transonic Systems Inc. offers a limited factory warranty on the AureFlo
®
. In no event, should the User
attempt to modify the AureFlo
®
System. Annual recalibration of the Flowmeter is recommended.
MAINTENANCE CHECK
A routine maintenance check of the AureFlo
®
System consists of exercising all of the functions of the
Flowmeter with a Flowprobe or Flowsensor, and verifying that all features respond as described in the”IV.
Functional Tests” on page 12. If any of these functions do not respond as described, contact Transonic for
Technical Support Service.
WARNING! DANGEROUS VOLTAGES ARE PRESENT IN THE FLOWMETER WHEN THE COVERS ARE REMOVED AND POWER IS
APPLIED. ONLY FACTORY AUTHORIZED PERSONAL ARE PERMITTED TO WORK INSIDE THE METER.
SYMPTOM WHAT TO CHECK CORRECTIVE ACTION
Unit will not turn on
Check that all power switches are in the
ON position.
Check the AC power cords.
Check the AC fuses in the power entry
module on the back of the Flowmeter.
Turn power switches on the Flowmeter
and Cart ON.
Ensure that all power cords are fully
connected and show no signs of visible
damage.
If the fuse is blown, replace with
Transonic
®
part.
Flowmeter display reads
USED PR” or “Used Probe”
Check that the Probe was used for the
specied amount of time.
If yes, discard Probe.
If no, try a different Probe. If xed then
it is a Probe issue, if not then it is a
Flowmeter issue. Call Tech Support.
Flowmeter display reads
0 # USES REMAIN
Check that the Probe has been used for
the specied number of uses.
If yes, discard Probe.
If no, call Tech Support
Flowmeter display reads
NO SIGNAL” or “AC ER
Ultrasound signal quality is too low.
Check for air bubbles in the ow window.
Ensure that vessels are well cleaned of fat
and other connective tissue.
Add ultrasonic couplant to the Flowprobe
window or clean vessel.
Place Probe in a container of saline,
if error message continues, call Tech
Support.
FlowSound
®
does not work
Make sure that the volume at the back is
turned all the way up.
Check that the LED turns on and off
when the [FlowSound] button is pressed.
If sound is turned on, call Tech Support
Waveform colorization is blue
only
Check that the ECG is connected. Reconnect the ECG cable
Windows are superimposed
Tap the desired window to bring it to the
front of the screen
Windows Taskbar overlaps
FlowTrace screen
Tap anywhere on the FlowTrace screen
and the Taskbar will auto-hide
