Appendix B: Replacing the Printer
In the event that a new printer needs to be connected to the AureFlo please follow the instructions below.
THIS IS NECESSARY EVEN IF THE NEW PRINTER IS THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL AS THE OLD PRINTER.
1) Before connecting the new printer, you must delete the old printer icon:
a) Exit Flowtrace by clicking on [AureFlo System Settings], then [Exit Flowtrace].
b) From the Windows desktop click [Start], then [Control Panel], then double-click [Printers and
Faxes].
c) Click on the printer icon(s), then click [Delete This Printer].
2) If you are installing a replacement Canon iP100 printer, your printer software is already installed and the
installation CD is not needed. If you are installing a different printer, you should uninstall the Canon
software and install your new software before proceeding:
a) Click [Control Panel], then double-click [Add or Remove Programs].
b) Select each of the Canon entries and click [Change/Remove], then [OK].
c) Once the printer is assembled and connected, insert the setup CD that came with your CD and
follow the on-screen instructions.
3) Assemble the printer and load paper per the printer manual.
4) Connect the printer to the power cord protruding from Aureo power pole, and connect the USB cable
to the printer and an available USB port on the bottom of the Panel-PC.
5) Press the Power button on the printer. Windows will recognize the new printer.
6) There should now be one printer icon in the [Printers and Faxes] window. Click once on the printer
icon to select it, then click [Set Printer Properties] on the left.
7) Click on the [Maintenance] tab, then click [Printer Head Alignment]. Click [Align Print Head], then
[OK].
8) Once the test page has printed click [OK], then close the [Printers and Faxes] window.
