VIII. Guarantee, Service & Warranty
A. Calibration Guarantee
Transonic Systems Inc.
®
certies that HT300 Series Compatible Flowmeters, Flowprobes, Flowsensors and
software are calibrated by methods traceable to the USA National Institute of Standards and Technology
(NIST). Transonic Systems Inc.
®
guarantees that Flowmeters will stay in calibration during their rst year
of use, if used and stored per standard clinical apparatus practices. Annual recalibration is recommended.
Product users may purchase additional years of recalibration service and certication.
B. Limited Product Warranty and Claim
Transonic
®
warrants for a period of one (1) year from date of shipment that the AureFlo
®
System (including
HT300 Series Compatible Flowmeter, FlowTrace
®
Software, AureFlo
®
Cart and the AureFlo
®
Monitor with its
touch-panel display) will remain free from defects, which are the result of faulty material or workmanship.
Transonic
®
warrants for a period of twelve (12) months from date of shipment or for the pre-dened
number of uses based on part number, whichever comes rst, all Flowprobes and Flowsensors will remain
free from defects, which are the result of faulty material or workmanship. Transonic
®
will, at no cost to the
user, either repair or replace system components found defective within the warranty period. No other
warranty is expressed or implied. Transonic
®
is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Product
users may purchase additional years of warranty and repair service insurance.
Transonic Systems Inc.
®
warranty shall not apply to: (a). defects caused by abuse, neglect or misuse; (b).
damage due to accident or casualty; or (c). unauthorized repairs, alterations.

warranty, FlowTrace
®
updates, customer support, and regulatory information ONLY
applies only to those Aureo
®
Systems purchased with the model Transonic
®
AureFlo
®
Monitor with touch-
panel display for use with the AureFlo
®
System.
1) Only an approved Transonic
®
AureFlo
®
Monitor with touch-panel display may be used with the
Transonic
®
AureFlo
®
System.
2) The patient electrical and EMC (electro-mechanical compatibility) have only been tested with the
Transonic
®
AureFlo
®
Monitor with touch-panel display. Transonic
®
does not support the patient safety of
any other Monitor.
3) A customer who purchases an HT300 Series Compatible Flowmeter as part of the customer’s AureFlo
®
System and who fails to order a Transonic
®
AureFlo
®
Monitor with touch-panel display hereby
unconditionally agrees that Transonic Systems Inc.
®
will not honor the Transonic
®
warranty with respect
to any other Monitor installed with the customer’s AureFlo
®
System.
4) Transonic
®
will not provide warranty or Help Desk support for customer issues caused by the use of any
non-approved display Monitor.
5) An extended Transonic
®
warranty is available for the AureFlo
®
System hardware (excluding some Probes)
and software. In addition, a Transonic
®
FlowTrace
®
Software Maintenance Agreement is required for
help and updates after the warranty period has expires.
The AureFlo
®
System Warranty is valid only if equipment is purchased through Transonic Systems Inc.
®
or its
duly appointed distributor or licensed representative. The obligations of Transonic Systems Inc.
®
under this
warranty are limited to repairing or, at its option, replacing any goods determined to be defective. Buyer
must notify Transonic Systems Inc.
®
within the warranty period of the reason Buyer believes that warranty
repairs are required. Buyer is then required upon the request of Transonic Systems Inc.
®
to return the goods
to the appropriate Transonic Systems location. Freight for shipping from the customer to Transonic Systems
Inc.
®
and for shipping the repaired goods from the Transonic Systems Inc.
®
to Buyer’s place of business shall
be paid for by Transonic, including all international freight. Any goods repaired or replaced by Transonic
Systems Inc.
®
shall be warranted for the period of time remaining on the original warranty.
