12.4 Data Transfer via RS232
Connection to a serial printer
Printer TA-EL-033 (Ref. 756 0020).
The RS232 cable, the charger and a support to fix the
printer to the instrument are included.

Software
The TrimosDataTransfer software is available free of
charge at www.trimos.com in the relevant product
section.
Any other RS232 communication software (Vmux,
Hyperterminal, WinWedge etc.) can be used.
Data transfer procedure
1. Connect the printer, the RS232 cable or Wireless
Transmission System to the serial port of the instrument.
2. Start and configure the communication software.
3. Press the Data Send Key. The data can also be sent
automatically after each probing (§ 12.2).
Data transmission (according to Opto-RS)
- Speed: 4800 baud
- ASCII code: 7 bits
- Parity: pair
- Stop bits: 1
- Handshake: without
Format
The format of the value sent corresponds to the numeric
value of the display in ASCII characters.
In diameter / centerline mode, if 2 values are sent
simultaneously, they are separated by an EOT (End Of
Transmission).
