• Avoid abrupt hard braking, If hard braking is
inevitable, release throttle and apply front and
rear brakes in a progressive manner.
• Don’t brake too hard while the vehicle is leaning,
as vehicle may skid easily.
• Tyre grip reduces in cold conditions. It will take
about 5 kms of riding for tyres to reach optimal
temperatures.
• New tyres require running in for 20 kms before
you can get the maximum grip.
Before starting the engine, familiarise your self with the
controls which you need to use while riding.
Starting the Engine
• Turn-on the ignition key (ref. page 23). Ensure
that the neutral indicator ‘N’ (ref. page 42) is
‘ON’.
• Check that the engine kill switch is positioned at
run mode ‘ ’ and press the starter button ‘ ’
(ref. page 38).
Do not rev the engine when it is cold. Allow some time
for the oil to warm up and to reach all points that needs
lubrication.
It is possible to start the vehicle with the side stand ‘ON’
and gear box in neutral. When starting the bike with the
gear engaged, apply the clutch (the side stand must be
up in this case).
If the battery voltage is too low, the system automatically
disables the self-start function.
