GENERAL INFORMATION
This chapter describes the structure of this manual, and provides safety,
contact, and version history information.
About This Manual
This manual provides you with the information necessary to properly
maintain the Vaisala AviMet® software.
This manual is mainly intended for system software maintenance
personnel, and provides instructions for using the AviMet system
maintenance software applications. It also describes the system
architecture and the general operating principle of the system.
Contents of This Manual
This manual consists of the following chapters:
- Chapter 1, General Information: This chapter describes the structure
of this manual, and provides safety, contact, and version history
information.
- Chapter 2, Product Overview: This chapter gives an overview of the
AviMet system and its components.
- Chapter 3, Functional Description: This chapter describes the typical
hardware components of the AviMet systems and the basic principles
and components of the ROA software architecture.
- Chapter 4, Getting Started: This chapter describes logging into the
system, starting and exiting the applications, and the user environment
common to all applications.
- Chapter 5, Diagnostics: This chapter contains instructions for
monitoring the system operation with the Diagnostics application.
