Monitoring CDU Status
You can monitor the status of the CDU(s) from the System Status panel.
- Green heartbeat icon: System is operating normally.
- Red heartbeat icon: The heartbeat signal has not been received from
the CDU because a persistent CDU failure has been detected. For
example, the CDU has been turned off or it has crashed, or there is a
failure in the connection to the CDU.
- In duplicated systems: One of the CDUs is active and the other is in
Hot standby mode in normal operation. For information on CDU
mode and switch-over, see Table 18 on page 52 and Table 19 on page
53.
You can continue troubleshooting the problem by doing the following:
- Click the numbers in the columns for the CDU, for example, in the
Missing processes column in the System Status panel. See section
Monitoring ROA Processes and Applications on page 71.
- Check the event messages in the Events panel. See section Dealing
with Messages Related to CDU(s) on page 82.
- Click the faulty CDU in the optional Overview panel to display the
CDU details in the Device details panel. See section Monitoring with
the Overview Panel (Optional) on page 74.
You may need to change the active CDU, see section Manually Changing
the Active CDU on page 69.
