GETTING STARTED
This chapter describes logging into the system, starting and exiting the
applications, and the user environment common to all applications.
Logging In
Log into the AviMet system with the RCMUSER user name (the user name
for system maintenance personnel) and the password given to you during
system installation. When you log in, the AviMet system will start
automatically.
Starting and Exiting Applications
The Diagnostics application typically opens automatically when you log in
with the RCMUSER user name.
To start other applications, do one of the following (depending on system
configuration):
- Select other maintenance applications from the Tools panel of the
Diagnostics application.
- Click the corresponding button in the Windows taskbar.
- Click the corresponding button on the desktop.
- Select the application from the Start menu: Start - Programs -
Vaisala AviMet - the name of the application.
CAUTION
Keep the Diagnostics application open at all times to be able to monitor
system status and events.
