Viewing Events from Selected Device in Overview
Panel
If your system includes the Overview panel, you can use it when you want
to pay special attention to the events related to a specific device. Do the
following:
1. In the Overview panel, find the site or device that you want to
monitor.
2. Select the device by clicking the device symbol. The selected symbol
will have a blue frame around it.
3. The events for the selected device are displayed in the Device details
panel. You can monitor and acknowledge the events as you would in
the Events panel.
Monitoring and Acknowledging Events
The Events panel displays all the system events configured to be displayed
for your user group. Depending on configuration, the Events typically
appear in several tabs, for example, in accordance with event type.
Typically, there is also a tab that shows all events.
When you have read an event message, acknowledge it to inform the
system that you have seen the message. The system then stores the event
in a history file, together with the time of acknowledgement.
A typical system event monitoring procedure is described below. Check
the airport-specific practices for a detailed procedure.
1. Monitor the events in the Events panel. When a new unacknowledged
event appears, a new event is indicated with red color.
2. If configured, the system also gives a preconfigured sound alarm. To
turn off the sound alarm, click the Stop alarm sound button.
3. Find and select the event you want to acknowledge by clicking the
row with the mouse. The event row will have a blue frame around it.
4. Click the Acknowledge button. Note the following:
- The Status column stays red until the reason for the event has
disappeared.
- You may need to click on another tab to reveal all
unacknowledged events.
NOTE
This button does not acknowledge the alarm.
