IO TERMINAL
This chapter contains instructions for monitoring sensors and other field
devices.
Introduction to IO Terminal
The IO Terminal application connects to sensors and other field devices
through a communication port. When there is an open terminal connection
to the sensor, you can monitor the messages it sends and send commands
to check and modify the device status.
You can use IO Terminal to:
- Open terminal connections to sensors and other field devices.
- Send commands to sensors and other field devices.
- Monitor and log messages sent by sensors or other field devices.
- View communication settings.
CAUTION
When the IO Terminal connection to sensors or other field devices is open
through an active CDU, no sensor data is usable further in the AviMet
system. In duplicated systems, connecting through the server enables
viewing sensor data without interrupting the data flow.
