Monitoring with the Overview Panel
(Optional)
The following features are available if your system contains the optional
Overview panel. See section Overview Panel (Optional) on page 63.
Monitoring System Status in Overview Panel
If configured in your system, the Overview panel provides a quick glance
to the overall status of your AviMet system.
The Overview panel gives a graphical presentation of all the CDU(s),
sensors, workstations, and other devices of the system. All devices are
represented by symbols displayed on an image of the system. Network
connections are represented by lines connecting the devices and the CDU
or a data collector. The color of the icon gives you the following
information:
- If the device symbol background or frame color is red, there is an
alarm related to that device or connection:
- If the device symbol background or frame color is orange, there is a
warning related to that device or connection:
For information on other device symbol colors, see Table 34 on page 65.
To get more information on the alarms and warnings for a device:
- Click the device symbol to see the details in the Device details panel
on the right. Refer to section Device Details Panel (In Overview
Panel) on page 66.
- Use the other panels in the Diagnostics application.
- Use the other maintenance applications by selecting them in the Tools
panel.
Zooming In/Out the Overview Panel
- To zoom in on a detail of the image, click the Zoom in button.
- To zoom out, click the Zoom out button.
- You can also use the scroll mouse button to zoom in/out.
