Monitoring Sensor Data Status and Value
To view the sensor data status and value, do the following:
1. In the System Status panel, open the Object browser as described in
section Monitoring ROA Object Status and Details on page 71.
2. In the Object browser, double-click the name of the object (sensor or
sensor site) that you want to monitor. You can also search for the
object in the Search field.
3. In the Object details panel that is displayed, the sensor the value is
displayed in the Value column.
4. The status of the automatic data from the sensors is displayed in the
Statuses column. If the status is not "Normal", do one of the following
to troubleshoot the problem:
a. If the status is "Missing", check the Events panel in the
Diagnostics main view. If there is no DATA MISSING message,
the system might have been recently restarted and there is not
enough data yet. Wait for 10 minutes, and the data status should
change back to "Normal". If the status remains "Missing", check
whether the sensor signal is coming through. If it is not, there is
a technical problem with the sensor. To troubleshoot problems
with the sensors, refer to the appropriate field device manuals.
b. If the status is "Old", the data is not updated, because of problems
in the communication lines or with the sensors. Check if the
sensor signal is coming through.
c. If the status is "Invalid", the connection is working properly, but
the measured value is out of the defined validity range. To
troubleshoot technical problems with the sensor, refer to the
appropriate field device manuals.
