Prior to maintenance
Flush and clean the system Chapter 8.1.2.
After maintenance
Carry out safety checks in accordance with Chapter 8.2.3.
Put the system into operation and check for leaks.
Have the system checked for safe condition by a skilled person.
8.2.3 SAFETY CHECKS AND MAINTENANCE INTERVALS
Daily: Before starting work, carry out a visual inspection to ensure that the system is grounded.
8.2.4 MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
The maintenance intervals should be adapted by the operator depending on the level of
use and if necessary the level of soiling.
If in doubt, we recommend contacting WAGNER's specialist personnel.
Note:
The available wearing part sets for the VU 1 reciprocator are listed in the "Wearing Part Sets"
chapter.

Activity
Every 500 hours Clean the guide rails
Lubricate the ball-bearing guides.
When lubricating with oil, remove
excess oil
see Chapter 8.6
Check the sealing lips for damage
and replace if necessary
Check the ball-bearing guides
for wear and play
Every 800 hours Lubricate the ball-bearing guides.
When lubricating with grease,
remove excess grease
see Chapter 8.7
Every 1000 hours Clean the outside and inside of
the reciprocator
Remove the powder residue
with a vacuum cleaner
Remove adhering powder
residue with ethyl alcohol
Check the drive belt tension and
the drive belt itself
Proceed in accordance with
Chapter 8.3 and/or Chapter 8.4.
Every 2000 hours Replace the ball-bearing guides 2000 h wearing part set (for VU 1:
see "Wearing Part Sets" chapter)
Every 4000 hours Replace the drive belt and drive
belt pulleys
4000 h wearing part set (for VU 1:
see "Wearing Part Sets" chapter)
Every 8000 hours Replace sealing lips 8000 h wearing part set (for VU 1:
see "Wearing Part Sets" chapter)
