9 TROUBLESHOOTING AND RECTIFICATION
DANGER
Incorrect maintenance/repair!
Danger to life and equipment damage.
WAGNER devices, protective systems and safety, monitoring and control equipment
may only be serviced/repaired as dened in Directive 2014/34/EC (ATEX) by trained
WAGNER service personnel or skilled persons in accordance with TRBS 1203!
Note national regulations!
Service, repair or replacement of devices or parts of devices may only be performed
outside the hazard area!
Malfunction Cause Remedy
Jerky return movement Loose drive belt
Check the drive belt in
accordance with Chapter 8.3 and
Chapter 8.4
Device carriers vibrate heavily Defective ball-bearing guides Replace the ball-bearing guides
Dirty guide rails Clean the guide rails
Uneven oor, the reciprocator
column is inclined
Level the oor, adjust reciprocator
column into a vertical position
Loose screws on the device
carriers
Tighten screws
The lifting carriage regularly
travels to the end position or
reversal points move
The connection between the
encoder and gear unit has
become loose
Check the connection
Defective encoder
(incremental encoder)
Contact WAGNER service
department
Electrical spark-over between
the reciprocator and objects or
persons that come close to it
Insucient grounding
Implement grounding measures
in accordance with Chapter 6.13
The lip seal squeaks The seal is rubbing too hard
against the T prole
Lightly lubricate the lip seal with
PTFE spray
Use a cloth to spread the
lubricant onto the sliding surface
