8.3.2.1 SETTING THE BELT TENSION FOR VU 1

Procedure:
1. Using an Allen wrench, open bolts (1) by one revolution.
2. Using a torque wrench, tighten bolt (2) with the torques listed below.
The use of a USAG 824A/2.5 torque wrench is recommended.
Reciprocator, VU 1–1800 = 1.6 Nm; 1.18 lb ft
Reciprocator, VU 1–2400 = 1.7 Nm; 1.25 lb ft
Reciprocator, VU 1–3000 = 1.8 Nm; 1.33 lb ft
3. Retighten bolts (1).
4. Reattach the front cover on the reciprocator.
If no torque wrench is available, then proceed as set out below.
