Tying down the vehicle
1. Stopping and securing the vehicle.
2. Block the articulated pendulum joint see Blocking articulated pendu-
lum joint on page 169
3. Secure all wheels of the vehicle at the front and rear with wheel
chocks.
4. Tie down the vehicle as shown.
5. Close the outlet of the muffler with a suitable cap or adhesive tape
in case the vehicle is transported backward, so that no rain drops
can enter.
6. Ensure that the driver of the transport vehicle knows the total height,
width and weight of his transport vehicle including the loaded
vehicle before departure.
7. Ensure that the driver is familiar with the legal transport regulations
of the country in which the transport is to take place.
