Battery maintenance
Observe the operator’s manual of the battery. The operator’s manual of
the battery is fastened on one side of the battery.
1. Always keep the terminal heads of the battery and the terminals of
the connecting cables clean and lubricate with anti-corrosion
grease.
2. Ensure that the cover of the positive terminal is always present and
closed.
3. Observe the monitoring device of the battery.
ð Green = battery charge condition OK.
ð Black = charge the battery.
ð White = replace the battery with a new one.

Working hydraulics maintenance
9.12.1
Checking the locking function for the joystick
Check the locking function of the joystick regularly. Carry out the function
test only when the vehicle is at a standstill.
When the locking function is switched on, the loader unit must not move
when the joystick is operated. If the loader unit does move, there is a
technical defect which must be repaired by an authorized service center.
Do not put the vehicle back into operation
To operate the joystick lock function, see Using the joystick lock function
on page 128.
9.12.2
Checking the function of the lock
Check the mechanical and/or hydraulic locking mechanism for attach-
ments regularly. Carry out the function test only when the vehicle is at a
standstill. If a fault is detected in the hydraulic locking system, do not op-
erate the vehicle and contact an authorized service center.
To operate the lock, (see Fig. 117118 on page 132) and (see Fig. 121 on
page 135).
9.12.3
Checking the hydraulic control circuits for function
A hydraulically operated attachment is required to control the hydraulic
control circuits.
The following functions must be checked and functional.
All functions of the front hydraulic connections, if present, see operate
front hydraulic connections on page 136.
All functions of the rear hydraulic connections, if present, see operate
rear hydraulic connections on page 142.
