9 GPS and MAVLink
There are three dierent ways to provide GPS coordinates to the Workswell WIRIS Pro:
1. GPS NMEA protocol
2. MAVLink protocol
3. DJI CAN
In this chapter, the GPS and MAVLink interfaces are explained. They share the same physical interface, but they
dier in communicaon protocol.

Warning: The +5V wire on the GPS input is intended for powering otherwise unpowered GPS modules
from WIRIS Pro. If your GPS source is powered otherwise, do NOT connect the +5V wires and leave
them unconnected instead, only connecng the GND, TXD and RXD pins. If the +5V wires are connected,
damage of either device might occur.
