14 Images and Video
WORKSWELL WIRIS Pro allows the user to capture and record several image and video formats. The user is
advised to save only the desired formats, since each image or video format have performance and memory
requirements that add up.
Each image is tagged with Exif metadata including source, date, me and GPS coordinates (if available).
Following formats are supported:
Images
• Radiometric JPEG
• Radiometric TIFF
• Screenshot JPEG
• IR Super‐Resoluon JPEG
• Visible JPEG
video
• Radiometric
• Visible
Images can be saved directly to connected memory (Flash Drive or SD Card). Video can be recorded only to the
internal SSD memory due to high memory speed requirements.
14.1 Images
All the images can be opened in standard image viewers. Images named as radiometric contain addional tem‐
perature informaon and can be further edited in CorePlayer or Thermolab soware.
14.1.1 Radiometric JPEG
Plain JPEG image from thermal camera without any overlays, containing addional temperature informaons.
14.1.2 Radiometric TIFF
TIFF image in 16bit gray‐scale, where each pixel represents measured temperature. It can be opened in standard
image viewer, but the contrast is not adjusted.
TIFF image is meant as opened format for user developed applicaons. It can be also used with third party
soware Pix4D.
The temperature value in degrees Celsius can be calculated with the following formula:
