12. SYSTEM APPEARANCE
12.1.4 PiP Fusion
The Picture in Picture Fusion layout (PIP FUSION) is the most advanced layout, presenng a superimposed view
which displays image from both cameras simultaneously across the enre screen. The PiP Fusion mode however
comes with some limitaons stemming from physical constraints of the device and opcs. Informaon panels
are shown as transparent overlays on the outer secon of the screen.
Note: Due to the inherent parallax eect of horizontally oset camera apertures and due to the opcal
distoron caused by radically dierent lenses, the PiP Fusion overlay only matches well for objects within
a certain distance envelope. The image match is best with objects at distance of approximately 30m and
it is most accurate at the center of the screen, with the accuracy degrading towards the edges of the
overlay.
Note: The PiP Fusion layout always locks the zoom level of the thermal camera at levels based on relave
FOV raos; individual zoom levels cannot be adjusted separately and the screen size raos may vary.
Note: The PiP Fusion layout relies on correct selecon of Thermal lens installed on the camera as well as
present calibraon data appropriate for the given lens.
