19. INFRARED CAMERA BEHAVIOR
19.3 Camera Calibraon
The WIRIS Pro undergoes external calibraon as a nal step of the manufacturing process and the user doesn’t
need to perform addional calibraon other than the automac NUC.
The stated accuracy of a calibrated camera is ±2% of measured value or ±2°C (±3.6°F) absolute (whichever is
higher) on the measurement range of 0 to 500°C (32°F to 932°F) and with camera already warmed up with
ambient temperature in the range from 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F).
Note: For maximal accuracy to be maintained, it’s recommended for the device to be sent to the manu‐
facturer for a calibraon once a year, otherwise the stated accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
Warning: as with all measurement devices, the volality of the device’s storage environment in terms
of temperature swings, light radiaon, electromagnec interference and vibraons can have detrimental
eects on quality of the device’s calibraon and its longevity. Aempt to store the device with as few
disturbances of any sort as possible for maintaining maximal accuracy.
