4. Measure:
9Spark plug gap a
Out of specification ® Regap
Use a wire gauge.
5. Tighten:
9Spark plug
NOTE:
9Before installing the spark plug, clean the
gasket surface and spark plug surface.
Also, it is suggested to apply a thin film of
anti-seize compound to the spark plug
thread to prevent thread seizure.
9If a torque wrench is not available, a good
estimate of the correct tightening torque
is to finger tighten a the spark plug and
then tighten it another 1/4 to 1/2 of a turn
b.
9Always use a new spark plug gasket.
Spark plug gap:
0.6 ~ 0.7 mm (0.024 ~0.028 in)
Spark plug:
25 Nm (2.5 m•kg, 18 ft•lb)
3. Clean:
9Spark plug
(with a spark plug cleaner or wire
brush)
Spark plug type (NGK):
B6HS/BR6HS
