MOTIF XS Test Program
[Test contents]
Check that normal signals are output from the [OUTPUT
L/MONO], [ASSIGNABLE OUTPUT L] and [PHONES(L)]
jacks.
Operate the [MASTER VOLUME] to check that volume
from the [OUTPUT L/MONO] is changed smoothly.
(Play the sine wave of the Wave ROM from the Master side
SWP51(DM: IC010) to output from the specifi ed output jack.)
[Test method]
Connect measuring instruments to each of the [OUTPUT L/
MONO], [OUTPUT R], [ASSIGNABLE OUTPUT L, R] and
[PHONES(L),(R)] jacks. Check frequency, output waveform,
output level of each output with a frequency counter, oscilloscope
and level meter (with a JIS-C fi lter).
Set the [MASTER VOLUME] at the maximum.
The LCD displays as follows when a sound is output.

[DIGITAL OUT(L)]: Output sound from a powered monitor
speaker with digital input and check that
sine wave without distortion is output.

[How to quit test]
• MANUAL MODE:
Press the [EXIT] button to quit the test and the same screen as
the [First indication] will appear indicating that a condition
waiting for a test number is selected.
• MIDI MODE:
Send a test code for another test to complete the current test
and the test for the newly sent test code will be executed.
