Activate network (background)
(1) The result of minimum DDR SDRAM read/write check is passed to
Linux by using SRAM. It will be shown in the normal test mode.
(4) There are three test modes:
: “REMOTE” + [REC] (Normal test mode):
Tests for LCD, controllers, MIDI, USB, mLAN, ethernet, audio,
ROM/RAM and so on.
@ “REMOTE” + [STOP] (MAC mode):
Used to (re)write the MAC address to the NOR flash. You have to
connect the “USB to Host” port of MOTIF XS to the USB port of
Windows PC with the tool called “MACBAR” installed before entering
this mode.
. “REMOTE” + [PLAY] (System dump mode):
Dump the system data as binary image named “MOTIFXS_.BIN” on
the USB storage. It can be used to diagnose the problem if it is due to
the extraordinary data written on the user area of the NOR flash.
(3) Please note that the special keys are scanned after the activation of
the EBUS driver, not before that. We recommend you to keep pressing
the special keys until the preferred startup screen appears.
