2. Even though the cam lobe surface ap-
pears to be in satisfactory condition, the
lobe should be measured with a micro-
meter. Cam lobe wear can occur without
scarring the surface. If this wear exceeds
the wear limit, valve timing and lift are
affected. Replace the camshaft if wear
exceeds the limit.

etre mesures avec un palmer. L'usure de
lobe de came peut se produire sans dete-
rioration de la surface. Si cette usure de-
passe la limite, la distribution et la levee
de soupape sont affectees. Changer
l'arbre a. cames si l'usure depasse la
limite.
2, Auch wenn die Nocken-Oberlache in
gutem Zustand erscheint, sollten die
Nocken mit einer Mikrometerschraube
gemessen werden. Die Nocken kOnnten
sich namlich abnutzen, ohne daft Versch-
leigspuren ersichtlich sind. Wenn die
Nocken fiber die VerschleiRgrenze abge-
nutzt sind, werden Ventilhub and
Steuerzeiten negativ beeinfluRt. Daher
mug die Nockenwelle erneuert werden,
wenn die Abnutzung die Verschleill-
grenze iiberschreitet.
