c. Turn the crankshaft until the lobe of the
tool depresses the valve lifters.
WARNING:
When turning the crankshaft, exercise care so
that the tappet adjusting tool does

tact the mating surface of the cylinder head
and the cylinder head cover.
NOTE:

When installing the tappet adjusting tool onto
the camshaft, be careful so that the lobe of
the tool does not ride on the pad.


