chines Carl Zeiss Microscopy recommends to
use a separate power connection to the main
distribution panel.

Protective ground High leakage currents are present in the mi-
croscope. Therefore, the microscope has to
be connected to a separate protective
ground.
An exclusive grounding connection to earth
must be provided as part of the building in-
stallation, i.e. a grounding screw terminal (Ø
8mm) which is directly connected to the PE
of the FEMALE RECEPTACLE as short as possi-
ble.
This grounding connection must not be com-
mon to other electrical equipment.
A grounding wire AWG10 (≥ 5m) is delivered
with the microscope. It serves as connection
between the grounding screw terminal (Ø
8mm) and the microscope (Ø 6mm).
