1.2.1 Entering the test mode from the teach pendant
1. Press the backplane TEST button, see section 3.
2. Keep the button depressed.
3. Push the INIT button, see section 3 (keep the TEST button pressed in).
4. Keep the TEST button depressed for at least 5 sec. (after releasing of the INIT button).
5. The display will show the following:
MONITOR MODE 2
if you proceed, system data will
be lost! Press any key to accept.
6. Then enter the password: 4433221.
1.2.2 Console connected to a PC
A PC with terminal emulation (see PC manual). The PC shall be set up for 9600 baud, 8
bits, no parity, and shall be connected to the Console terminal on the front of the robot
computer board.
Connection table: Console terminal on robot and main computer
Start up:
1. Connect the PC.
2. Turn on the power to the robot.
Entering the test mode from a PC/terminal:
1. Press the backplane TEST button, see section 3.
2. Keep the button depressed.
3. Push the INIT button, see section 3 (keep the TEST button pressed in).
4. Keep the TEST button depressed for at least 5 sec. (after release of the INIT button).
5. The display will show the following:

2 RXD Serial receive data
3 TXD Serial transmit data
5 GND Signal ground (0V)
