Removing the upper arm shafts

Before continuing, make sure that the up-
per arm is secured in the lifting accessories
and overhead crane.
Stretch the lifting accessories to take the
weight of the upper arm.
CAUTION
The upper arm including the wrist weighs
approximately 900 kg. All lifting accessor-
ies must be sized accordingly.

In order to release the brakes, connect the
24 VDC power supply.

Connect connector R2.MP2:
• pin 2 = 24V
• pin 5 = 0V
Release the brakes on axis-2 to allow the
lower arm to position according to the lift-
ing force applied from the overhead crane.
This eliminates any strain in the upper arm
shafts.

Remove the brake release from R2.MP2.4

Remove grease and other contamination
from the axis-2 and axis-3 shaft ends and
around the KM nuts, on both sides.
