Step 9 — Prime the pipettor system
The first time the instrument is being started, you will need to prime the
pipettor system as follows:
1. Starting from the Main screen and using either the touchscreen dis-
play or the keypad, select the Fluid Level button to open the Fluid
Level screen (Figure 8).
2. Press and hold the Reset button for each bottle on the Fluid Level
screen (Figure 8) for at least three seconds to notify the system that
they were changed.
3. Press the Prime button and allow the system fluid to be drawn into
the pipettor. While observing the clear plastic tubing where it is
connected to the metal pipettor, press the Prime button one or more
times until no air bubbles are passing through the tubing.
CAUTION Do not allow the syringe pump to run dry for more than a
few cycles. Damage to the pump will result.
