O graphical user interface
The A
2
O Graphical User Interface (GUI) is designed for ease of
use in a laboratory setting. The large “buttons” on the touch-
screen display can be operated with a gloved hand. In addition,
all operations that can be performed via the touchscreen can be
performed with the attached keypad, which allows system oper-
ation even if the touchscreen is not functional.
The four
buttons on the left side of the keypad (Figure 12) mir-
ror the buttons on the Main screen (Figure 13) of the GUI. These
four buttons are enabled in the same manner as those GUI
buttons. The framed section in the upper right corner of the
keypad relates to the printer. The large button is the paper Feed,
which when pushed advances the paper. The indicator to the
