right of the Feed button will light up when the the printer door is open.
The right-most indicator will light up when the paper has run out. The
four arrow keys and the central green button are used to navigate
through the GUI screens. The arrow keys allow you to activate any but-
ton or control on the screen. The active item is indicated by white text
(e.g., a grid display will have white text for the column headers). If a
single action is possible for the active item, the central green button
may be used to perform this action.
The GUI consists of a series of screens laid out in a “tree structure”.
For additional ease of use, certain screens have shortcuts to related
screens. When in the Menu screen, you may access six other screens
(Figure 14).
The button for each screen is color coded (e.g., the
Calibrate button is green). When in any other screen, the shortcut to
the Calibrate screen will also be green. The button text is black except
for when the button is active, in which case it is white (as described in
the previous paragraph). If a button’s text is gray, that button is dis-
abled. A button may be disabled because that setting or operation is not
available, or because that setting or operation requires you to enable
Supervisor mode.
