8.4.2 Performing a spread rate check with the fertiliser chute
1. Add a sufficient quantity of fertiliser to the
hopper.
2. Put the collection bucket under the fertiliser
chute
3. Adjust the left shutter position according to
the setting chart.
4. Set the PTO shaft speed.
5. Open the left shutter hydraulically and start
the time measurement.
6. As soon as the collection bucket is full,
close the shutter and stop the time meas-
urement.
7. Weigh the collected fertiliser
(allow for the weight of the collection buck-
et).
8. Determine the shutter position with the slid-
ing ruler.
9. Adjust the shutter position on both sides of
the fertiliser spreader.
8.4.3 Performing a spread rate check with a calibration device on the side
1. Add a sufficient quantity of fertiliser to the
hopper.
2. Hang a collection bucket onto the calibra-
tion device.
3. Open the outlet of the calibration device
using the hand lever and start the time
measurement.
4. As soon as the collection bucket is full,
close the outlet and stop the time meas-
urement.
5. Weigh the collected fertiliser
(allow for the weight of the collection buck-
et).
6. Determine the shutter position with the slid-
ing ruler.
7. Adjust the shutter position on both sides of
the fertiliser spreader.
