Amsurf settings
The Amsurf settings menu is available by pressing INTERNET, 5.
& Tip – as a shortcut (while using Amsurf), you can go to the settings menu by
pressing SETUP.
You may use the Amsurf settings menu as follows:
For sites requiring a password, you can set Amsurf so that passwords are stored
in hidden memory (cached). If a password is cached, you will not need to enter it
each time you visit the site.
You can set Amsurf so that the sites you visit will not be able to detect your
geographical location.
You can set Amsurf so that sites can be viewed with or without images, or with
scaled or small images only. You may find that web sites viewed without images
can be accessed more easily.
You can specify a new home page address, or set the current page to be the
home page.
On sites where you enter personal details, the site may send the
e-m@iler a hidden
identification reference (called a cookie). If you set Amsurf to store cookies you will
not need to enter your personal details each time you visit the site. Instead the site
will retrieve your cookie and verify your identity automatically.
The
e-m@iler is factory-set to Narrow Screen Navigation. This means that all web
pages are displayed to the width of the
e-m@iler screen – you simply scroll up and
down to view the areas of the page located off-screen. If you select Wide Screen
Navigation, web pages are displayed as they would be on a PC – you then scroll
left and right as well as up and down to view the off-screen areas of the page.
& Note, the above features are not supported by all web sites.
