If a page doesn't display correctly
Occasionally after a page is found, it may not be displayed properly – if this happens,
press SYMBOL and N to make a new attempt to display the page.
If the page doesn't display correctly despite all attempts to refresh it, there may be a
temporary disruption or some other problem with the site/page itself. You may wish to
try again later.
If the page that won't display is one for which you typed in the address yourself, go
back and carefully check that the address is accurate including the correct use of small
and capital letters. If you receive the message (Web)Site Not Found, the most
likely reason is that there's no such page address, or that you haven't selected the
correct )Internet or )Mobile Internet option.
To go back to previous page
To go back to where you were, press STOP. Alternatively you can go back to the
previous screen or page by selecting lBackl or . If there is no previous page to go
back to, pressing STOP will have no effect. (The Amsurf menu will remain displayed.)
♦ Note on some pages you may need to press STOP twice rapidly to go back to the
previous page.
♦ If you find that you can't move away from a page, simply press INTERNET to go
back to the Amsurf menu.
Automatic time-out
If there is no internet activity for about 10 minutes, the e-m@iler will time-out and
go offline automatically. This is to save you money by preventing long surfing calls.
Note that the current page will remain displayed after automatic time-out (although the
online symbol
will change to offline
). Therefore, if you have stopped surfing
for a while and notice that the e-m@iler is offline (
), simply continue surfing and the
e-m@iler will go back online ( ) when necessary.
After the e-m@iler has timed-out, you may still be able to view offline the last few pages
you visited – these are stored in the
e-m@iler's temporary memory. If you select a
different page, however, the
e-m@iler will make a new surfing call and go online again
(
will change back to ). Note that the temporary memory is cleared whenever
you exit from Amsurf.
