Creating a Plate Document for the Background Calibration
1. In the SDS software, click (or
select FileNew).
2. Configure the New Document dialog box:
a. Select AssayBackground.
b. Select Container96-Well Clear.
c. Select Temp l a teBlank Document.
d. In the Operator field, enter your name.
e. In the Comments field, enter any additional
information that you want to save to the file
(such as the plate bar code).
f. In the Plate Name field, enter:
Background_<date in DDMMYY format>
For example, the name for a plate run on
May 31, 2005 would be:
Background_310505.
g. Click .
3. In the SDS software, select FileSave As.
4. In the Save As dialog box:
a. If the Save in field does not display SDS
Documents, navigate to D: driveApplied
BiosystemsSDS Documents.
b. Click .
Continue with “Performing the Background
Calibration” on page 55.
