Blade type.
For larger wires, changing from a V type stripping blade to a radius blade may help. This will give a
more complete cut around the conductor of the wire.
Belt type and wheels.
To help prevent the wire from slipping in the belts a different type of belt can be used.

Another thing that can be done is to replace the belts with steel wheels.
