3) For non-intubated patients: Place the nasal cannula onto the patient. Shown as
follows:
4) For patients prone to mouth breathing, use an oral-nasal cannula. Can be used as
shown below:
Trim the oral sampling tip if necessary to fit the patient. It should extend down
past the teeth and be positioned in the mouth opening. Remove the cannula
from the patient if the tip needs to be trimmed. Shown as follows:
When use the Nasal/Oral Cannula of Masimo ISA Capno, the cannula can be
worn as shown below:
5) For nasal or oral-nasal cannulas with oxygen delivery, place the cannula on the
patient as shown then attach the oxygen supply tubing to the oxygen delivery
system and set the prescribed oxygen flow.
